Statement of pedagogy (excerpt)

Exploring uncharted territories (in the figurative sense) is innate. I am a life-long learner, a synthesizer of varied and holistic educational experiences. It yields a sophisticated versatility, I cherish this as an educator and artist. It is evident in my bloodline; a lineage of passionate educators, and administrators, who demonstrated the necessity of preserving inherited integrity.

I facilitate educational experiences of infinite possibilities. To have a profound and meaningful impact on all students, the educator must be unapologetically passionate, honest, be devoted to expanding one’s wisdom by advocating the urgency of equity and inclusion, in all facets of humanity.

The current state of education has the potential to be the cornerstone of unpredictable outcomes. The concern is will have a beneficial impact on our future…

The true experience of the artist is part of what each educator should impart on the scholar.  Students will delve beyond the benchmarks of comprehension in any area of study if they have opportunities to engage in individual exploration and research that is meaningful to their own experiences and interests. The latter has changed dramatically but the craft - which is formidable and permanent still needs ‘gatekeepers’.
